Description: The availability and use of high-strength concrete has been growing for quite some time. More recently, high-strength reinforcing steel has become steadily more available, creating new possibilities for combinations of high-strength concrete and reinforcement in seismic and other applications. This web seminar will discuss the use of high-strength concrete and rebar in several recent successful projects, explain building code and other requirements for its use, and suggest new opportunities that can be explored by interested structural designers. This web seminar will also include three question-and-answer periods. Speaker Bio: Mr. Kopczynski is a member of ACI Committee 318, the ACI Financial Activities Committee, and serves on ACI’s Board of Directors. He also chairs the Technical Advisory Board of the Post-Tensioning Institute and serves on PTI’s Board of Directors.
