This live web seminar will discuss the major new features of the 2012 IBC structural provisions which reference ASCE 7-10, Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures. Changes to the structural loading requirements as well as to the special inspection, foundation and material provisions will be presented.

After a brief review of the basic behavior of low-rise masonry structures under gravity and lateral loads, the seminar addresses the design and detailing of masonry for seismic loads.
This seminar will address all substantive changes made to the wind design provisions of ASCE 7-10 from the 2005 edition. This two-hour seminar fully explains the major changes found in Chapters 26-31.The reorganization of the wind provisions will be discussed and the changes to the wind maps and the corresponding changes to the load factors will be explained.
