The webinar will show the hand calculations for the design of stud rails to resist punching shear in compliance with the ACI code and the stud rails ESR/ICC report. Common mistakes will be discussed. Understanding the limits of stud rails and proper detailing will be shown.Speaker Bio
Bryan Allred, S.E. is a licensed structural engineer who specializes in the design of reinforced concrete buildings utilizing post-tensioned floor systems. He is the co-author of the book “Post-Tensioned Concrete Principles and Practice” which covers the use post-tensioning in concrete structures from fundamentals to specific construction engineering and detailing. Bryan is a fellow of the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI), a member of their Technical Advisory Board, Education Committee, Building Design Committee, and a member of committee 423 of the American Concrete Institute. He has also given numerous educational seminars/webinars across the country highlighting the application and benefits of post-tensioning.

All attendees, irrespective of the number of registered connections, can earn 0.25 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or 2.5 professional development hours (PDHs). CEU/PDH certificates are provided free of charge.
